Huzz Privacy Policy
Huzz (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates the Huzz mobile application (the “App”). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and your choices.
By using Huzz, you agree to this Privacy Policy.
1. Who we are
Huzz is a social connection app that lets users browse profiles, connect with other users, chat, and optionally join short live video or text sessions with other signed-in users. Connect freely — this is not a children’s app.
2. Information we collect
Account and profile information
- Email address and authentication credentials
- Name, age, gender, bio, interests, and profile photos
- Discovery preferences such as location and discovery filters
- Optional voice profile audio
Location information
- Approximate location (city and country/region) for discovery and safety
Contacts (required to use the app)
- With your permission, we access and upload your device contacts, including names, phone numbers, email addresses, and related contact fields, to our servers
- Contact data is used for safety features and operational review by authorized staff where permitted by law
Photos and media
- With your permission, we may upload photos from your device photo library to our servers
- Profile photos and images you choose to share in chat
Messages and interactions
- Text messages, voice notes, reactions, and metadata
- Likes, passes, connections, blocks, and reports
- Live Random session messages and session metadata
Live video and audio
- If you use Live Random video chat, camera and microphone data are transmitted in real time to your session partner through our video infrastructure
- We do not record live video sessions by default unless we explicitly tell you otherwise in the app
Device and technical data
- Device identifiers, operating system, app version
- Push notification tokens
- IP address and network-related signals
- Crash and performance logs
3. How we use information
- Create and manage your account
- Show you other users and apply your filters and preferences
- Enable discovery, messaging, and Live Random sessions
- Send push notifications
- Keep users safe through blocking, reporting, moderation, and admin review
- Prevent fraud, spam, abuse, and policy violations
- Improve, maintain, and secure the App
- Comply with legal obligations
4. How we share information
- Other users: Profile information you choose to show, and messages or media you send to connections or live session partners
- Service providers: Cloud hosting (Google Firebase), push notifications (Expo), live video (LiveKit), and related infrastructure providers
- Moderators and admins: Authorized staff may access account, contact, device, photo, and safety data to investigate reports and enforce policies
- Legal requests: When required by law or to protect rights, safety, and security
We do not sell your personal information.
5. Data retention
We retain information while your account is active and as needed for safety, legal compliance, dispute resolution, and enforcement. You may request account deletion by contacting support@huzz.com.
6. Your choices
- You can change camera, microphone, location, contacts, and photo permissions in device settings, but some permissions are required to use core features
- You can block users and report inappropriate behavior in the app
- You can manage notification preferences in app settings where available

7. Security
We use industry-standard measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), authenticated cloud infrastructure, and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
8. Children
Huzz is for adults 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. Contact us if you believe a minor has created an account.
9. International users
Your information may be processed in countries where we and our service providers operate.
10. Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy. We will post the new version with an updated date. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated policy.
